Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Nova Ember Markets Group is a Birmingham retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in pricing and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on shrink and waste. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
