Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Birch Energy and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be customer trends. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in meter readings and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on outage response. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
