Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Lumen Basin Civic Services Group provides shared administrative services to local governments around Birmingham. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 104 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in budget submissions and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on public records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
