Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Ironwood Amber Insurance is an insurance company in Baltimore with claims and service teams, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
