Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Nova Ridge Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Charleston. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Investigate trends in policy renewals and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on claims. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
