Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Harborlight Union Banking Services is a regional lender in Birmingham with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 144 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in loan files and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on account openings. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
