Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Summit Maple Manufacturing is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in customer orders and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on machine downtime. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
