Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Ironwood Cedar Inspection Services Group tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Birmingham. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. Technicians travel and report carefully. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in field inspections and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on scheduling. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
