Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

We are growing our team at Summit Vale Manufacturing and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in scrap and rework and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on tooling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
