Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Ironwood Granite Manufacturing is a Birmingham manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Investigate trends in machine downtime and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on production lines. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
