Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Nova Quarry Banking Services is a regional lender in Dallas with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Investigate trends in fraud alerts and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on account openings. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
