Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Forge Freight Group and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be customer trends. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in loads and lanes and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on dock schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
