Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Fernwood Granite Markets Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for shrink and waste, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 330 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in shrink and waste and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
