Data Analyst - customer trends (remote)

Northwind Cobalt Insurance Group · Remote · contract

Northwind Cobalt Insurance Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for catastrophe response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in catastrophe response and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on underwriting files. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
