Data Analyst - customer trends (Raleigh, NC)

Amberfield Pike Water Authority is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on capital projects. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
