Data Analyst - customer trends (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind West Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Pittsburgh. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in weigh tickets and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on landfill records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
