Data Analyst - customer trends (Oakland, CA)

Cedar Amber Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Oakland. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 895 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in warranty claims and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on customer estimates. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
