Data Analyst - customer trends (Oakland, CA)

Greenridge Quarry Transit Planning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 855 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on accessibility audits. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
