Data Analyst - customer trends (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Nova Bridge Transit Planning and adding a Data Analyst whose main responsibility will be customer trends. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on service alerts. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
