Data Analyst - customer trends (New Orleans, LA)

Harborlight Beacon Financial is a financial-services company in New Orleans, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Trust is the product, so accuracy and clarity matter. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in loan applications and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on account servicing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
