Data Analyst - customer trends (Minneapolis, MN)

Northwind Sparrow Transit Planning Group is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in fare systems and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on route schedules. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
