Data Analyst - customer trends (Madison, WI)

Stonegate River Financial is a financial-services company in Madison, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 590 people based in Madison. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in account servicing and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on vendor spend. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
