Data Analyst - customer trends (Las Vegas, NV)

Harborlight Meridian Civic Services Group supports public agencies in Las Vegas with budgeting, records and programmes, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 646 people based in Las Vegas. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in constituent requests and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on budget submissions. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Las Vegas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
