Data Analyst - customer trends (Knoxville, TN)

Amberfield Mill Environmental Services is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in recycling loads and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on weigh tickets. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
