Data Analyst - customer trends (Indianapolis, IN)

Northwind Mill Transit Planning is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in route schedules and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Indianapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
