Data Analyst - customer trends (Houston, TX)

Lumen Forge Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Houston. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people based in Houston. What you will do • Investigate trends in customer tracking and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
