Data Analyst - customer trends (Hartford, CT)

Nova Ashton Civic Services works with county and city offices around Hartford. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Investigate trends in budget submissions and explain what is driving them. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on public records. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
