Data Analyst - customer trends (Hartford, CT)

Westbrook Beacon Markets Group serves neighbourhoods around Hartford with fresh food and everyday goods. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 94 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Investigate trends in pricing and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on shrink and waste. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
