Data Analyst - customer trends (Grand Rapids, MI)

Cedar Summit Insurance Group is an insurance company in Grand Rapids with claims and service teams, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in customer complaints and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
