Data Analyst - customer trends (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Bright Water Authority is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
