Data Analyst - customer trends (Des Moines, IA)

Lumen Harbor Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Des Moines with routes, transfer stations and recycling. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. Nice to have • Experience with data on fleet maintenance. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
