Data Analyst - customer trends (Des Moines, IA)

Ironwood Vale Water Authority Partners is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in pipe repairs and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on treatment plant data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
