Data Analyst - customer trends (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar Birch Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Des Moines. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in contractor visits and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on work orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
