Data Analyst - customer trends (Des Moines, IA)

Bluepeak Beacon Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Des Moines, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in materials orders and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
