Data Analyst - customer trends (Cincinnati, OH)

Amberfield Ember Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Cincinnati, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in promotions and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on pricing. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Cincinnati. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
