Data Analyst - customer trends (Chicago, IL)

Westbrook Cedar Banking Services provides everyday banking and small-business lending around Chicago, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in fraud alerts and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on deposit accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
