Data Analyst - customer trends (Chicago, IL)

Redstone Summit Community Partners is a Chicago charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in volunteer shifts and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on food distribution. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
