Data Analyst - customer trends (Charlotte, NC)

Fernwood Birch Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Charlotte working with agencies and riders. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 95 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in ridership counts and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on survey data. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
