Data Analyst - customer trends (Buffalo, NY)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing makes precision components in Buffalo. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. You would join a small organisation of about 88 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in customer orders and explain what is driving them. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
