Data Analyst - customer trends (Buffalo, NY)

Amberfield Umber Energy is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for outage response, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Investigate trends in outage response and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. What we are looking for • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Python or R for analysis. • Experience with data on usage data. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
