Data Analyst - customer trends (Boston, MA)

Harborlight Clear Energy Group is an energy provider in Boston focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in service connections and explain what is driving them. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on billing disputes. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
