Data Analyst - customer trends (Boston, MA)

Ironwood Timber Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Boston area, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Investigate trends in learning materials and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on enrolment. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
