Data Analyst - customer trends (Birmingham, AL)

Ironwood Willow Manufacturing makes precision components in Birmingham, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 247 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Investigate trends in tooling and explain what is driving them. • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. Nice to have • Experience with data on machine downtime. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
