Data Analyst - customer trends (Birmingham, AL)

Amberfield Quill Hospitality is looking for a Data Analyst. The job centres on customer trends for supplier orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Promotion from within is common. What you will do • Pull and clean data from several systems into one trustworthy dataset. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Investigate trends in supplier orders and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Clear writing. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on food costs. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
