Data Analyst - customer trends (Birmingham, AL)

Greenridge Kestrel Markets Group operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Birmingham. We are hiring a Data Analyst to take on customer trends. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Investigate trends in promotions and explain what is driving them. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. What we are looking for • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. • Clear writing. • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. Nice to have • Experience with data on supplier deliveries. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
