Data Analyst - customer trends (Anchorage, AK)

Fernwood Manufacturing is a Anchorage manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need a Data Analyst to lead our customer trends. You would join a large organisation of about 482 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Build dashboards that managers actually open every week. • Recommend changes and measure whether they worked. • Answer ad-hoc questions with a short written summary, not a data dump. • Document definitions so numbers mean the same thing everywhere. • Investigate trends in tooling and explain what is driving them. What we are looking for • The habit of checking a surprising number before presenting it. • Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills. • Clear writing. • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI or Tableau. Nice to have • Experience with data on scrap and rework. • Python or R for analysis. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Anchorage. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
