Customer Support Representative - phone and chat support (New Orleans, LA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Birch Transit Planning and adding a Customer Support Representative whose main responsibility will be phone and chat support. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Share recurring problems with the team so they can be fixed. • Resolve billing and account issues, including fare systems, on the first contact when possible. • Document every interaction and follow up when you promise to. • Answer questions by phone, email and chat in a friendly and clear way. • Escalate complex cases with all details attached. What we are looking for • Clear spoken and written communication. • Patience with people who are stressed or upset. • One or more years in customer service. Nice to have • Bilingual English and Spanish. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
