Customer Support Representative - phone and chat support (Buffalo, NY)

Redstone Vale Water Authority is looking for a Customer Support Representative. The job centres on phone and chat support for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Resolve billing and account issues, including meter reading, on the first contact when possible. • Escalate complex cases with all details attached. • Answer questions by phone, email and chat in a friendly and clear way. • Document every interaction and follow up when you promise to. • Share recurring problems with the team so they can be fixed. What we are looking for • Patience with people who are stressed or upset. • Clear spoken and written communication. • One or more years in customer service. Nice to have • Bilingual English and Spanish. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
