Customer Support Representative - new-customer onboarding (Oakland, CA)

Northwind West Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Oakland. We are hiring a Customer Support Representative to take on new-customer onboarding. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Resolve billing and account issues, including ridership counts, on the first contact when possible. • Document every interaction and follow up when you promise to. • Escalate complex cases with all details attached. • Answer questions by phone, email and chat in a friendly and clear way. • Share recurring problems with the team so they can be fixed. What we are looking for • Clear spoken and written communication. • One or more years in customer service. • Patience with people who are stressed or upset. Nice to have • Bilingual English and Spanish. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
