Customer Support Representative - billing questions (San Jose, CA)

Harborlight Summit Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in San Jose, and we need a Customer Support Representative to lead our billing questions. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Resolve billing and account issues, including catastrophe response, on the first contact when possible. • Document every interaction and follow up when you promise to. • Answer questions by phone, email and chat in a friendly and clear way. • Escalate complex cases with all details attached. • Share recurring problems with the team so they can be fixed. What we are looking for • Clear spoken and written communication. • Patience with people who are stressed or upset. • One or more years in customer service. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Bilingual English and Spanish. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
